Pedagogical concept

Our conviction is:

That your child will flourish in our bright and homely atmosphere. Moreover, our pedagogical concept will enhance your child's natural curiosity.
At La Crèche des Chouettes, we strive to cultivate a constructive relationship with each child in a warm and nurturing environment. Core values such as respect, solidarity, and social cohesion are lived and promoted in our daily interactions. At the same time, we place special emphasis on fostering self-confidence and self-esteem. This entails a caring interaction between child and caregiver as well as individualised care tailored to the needs of each child. Your child is always at the center of our educational efforts.

With more than 300 square meters, our spacious daycare center provides ample room for play, fun, as well as needed rest throughout the day. Above all, our vast 600 square meter park is the ideal setting to encourage your child's natural curiosity to discover and cherish the natural world around them.

Outdoor activities

  • In our secured park on the edge of the forest, your child can explore nature, let off steam and make new discoveries. Activities are pedagogically guided
  • Our garden is a place for imagination and movement and forms an essential part of our daily educational programm
  • We also have a separate, covered terrace for the toddler group

The pedagogy of Maria Montessori

  • Self-determined learning: Children choose freely from prepared materials and determine their own pace of learning, which promotes their intrinsic motivation
  • Individuality: Montessori education recognises the uniqueness of each child and supports their individual development and interests
  • Community and social development: children learn in a mixed age group and are encouraged to work together, resolve conflicts constructively and take responsibility for themselves and their environment

Emmi Pikler's early childhood pedagogy

  • There are three groups: the "Ocean" group for children from 3 to 18 months, the "Jungle" group for children from 18 to 36 months, and the "Forest" group for children over 3 years old until school entry.
  • Natural learning environment, based on personal initiative
  • Creation of a stimulating environment for the fulfilment of individual needs and personal development
  • Quality assurance through a higher childcare ratio

The movement pedagogy of Elfriede Hengstenberg

  • Sensitisation to one's own body: The children learn to consciously perceive their body, explore its limits and develop a sense of balance, coordination and mobility
  • Play materials: We use simple and natural materials that stimulate the children's imagination and creativity and challenge their motor skills
  • We attach great importance to children spending a lot of time outdoors. They should be able to explore nature, move freely and have a variety of sensory experiences. Outdoor activities promote children's physical health, motor development and well-being
